What is SG?
SG is your one stop shop for news, insights articles, learning and consultancy services in the domains of GRC (Governance, risk and Compliance). We build on our curiosity and leverage our expertise to bring you ever closer to the GRC news from the African Continent and beyond.
Our vision is to build thought, curiosity and creativity on matters related to Governance, risk and Compliance. Through our articles, research & insight reports and news casts, we bring clarity to contemporary and complex issues in the GRC domains.
Our thoughts, words and actions are guided by the principles of Respect, Integrity, Sustainability, and Continuous Learning. Continuous Learning is at the heart of our mission, as we believe in the power of knowledge dissemination and the importance of staying ahead in an ever-evolving landscape.
We try to provide Sustainable Governance in Africa
Ecosystem Guiding Principles
The chosen ecosystem limits the geographical outreach of our interests, be it in terms of:
- Sourcing GRC news headlines.
- Getting ideas for articles on contemporary issues.
- Selecting case studies as inspiration or practical examples that will run through out our research, training and development programs.
- Targeting potential clients for consultancy services.
The chosen ecosystem for the SG (Sustainable Governance) project will be governance, business, and finance within the African continent, AND evolutions/occurrences outside the African continent with an (anticipated or real) impact on the African continent. Focus will increase across the wider African continent to sub-Saharan Africa and central Africa as the prime area of interest.

Quality Guiding Principles
SG remains committed to maintaining good standards of quality and excellence in the delivery of content, ensuring our positions are well researched, accurate, refined, professionally presented, relevant and valuable to our audience.
To achieve this, we must ensure:
- All ideas are thoroughly fact-checked to avoid errors and misrepresentation
- Clear, concise, and understandable language is used, avoiding unnecessary jargon, and explaining complex concepts in the simplest terms.
- Content (articles, reports, trainings etc.) follow the standard and pre-established structures(headings, subheadings, bullet points, summaries and graphics) and brand guidelines.
- We leverage high-quality visuals such as images, infographics, charts, and videos to enforce ideas and enhance understanding.

Collaboration Guiding Principles
Core to the idea behind the SG project is the ambition to build a network of likeminded professionals driven by the desire to stay informed, think and excel. And so, in terms of content development, we have to be open to working together with various stakeholders, including organizations and experts, to enhance the quality, reach, and impact of our content and services.
The primary forms of collaboration under SG will be :
- Bringing industry experts to the fold, to provide authoritative insights, guest articles, and training sessions.
- Building cross-disciplinary teams involving professionals from related fields such as finance, law, and technology to integrate different perspectives and expertise to our research and training.
